The history of the Swedish brand Westin dates back to 1952. It was then that Ingvar Westin, the late toy maker, carved a fish for his children that moved in the water like a living creature. He called it "Jatte" which means "giant" in Swedish - it resembled a pike lure of a large size. Local anglers quickly saw its potential and began to use a children's toy to catch the largest pikes. They demanded more and more lures from Westin, as well as versions in different shades. Thus, Ingvar launched the serial production of wobblers, the fame of which went far beyond its native Sweden. The individual products are created with as much passion and attention to detail as Ingvar's first lure.
