What is vacuum insulation?

Vacuum means that the air between the outer and inner layers of stainless steel has been removed to create vacuum insulation. Blocks air heat transfer (conduction). ZOJIRUSHI vacuum insulation also includes a copper or aluminum layer tightly wrapped around the outer inner layer of stainless steel.
