What is vacuum insulation?

Vacuum means that the air between the outer and inner layers of stainless steel has been removed to create vacuum insulation. Blocks air heat transfer (conduction). ZOJIRUSHI vacuum insulation also includes a layer of copper or aluminum tightly wrapped around the outer inner layer of stainless steel

The gap between the two layers is very narrow and amounts to approx. 1mm, thanks to which all ZOJIRUSHI thermoses and cups have a larger capacity than can be judged from the outside.
