What is a cold shoe anyway? It is a very useful, stable and quick mount used in both photography and filming. It allows for quick mounting of accessories on a camera, camcorder or a tripod. The assembly consists in inserting the ISO mount into the so-called sled and securing it with a special ring. Currently, these types of mounts are widely used in photo lamps, microphones, smartphone holders, grips and rigs.
